Hugs of Hope 3.0: Spreading Warmth Across

JCI Dhaka Founders proudly launched Hugs of Hope 3.0 as the first humanitarian initiative under the 2026 leadership of Afshana Rahman, marking a meaningful beginning to the year through service, compassion, and unity.

Led by our Local Committee Chair Atikur Rahman, and supported wholeheartedly by the board and members, this project aimed to bring warmth and dignity to communities during the harsh winter months. Through three successful phases in Dhaka (Kalshi), Rajshahi, and Kurigram, Hugs of Hope 3.0 reached hundreds of people in need with winter clothing and blankets.

🌿 Phase 1: Dhaka (Kalshi) Distribution

The first phase of Hugs of Hope 3.0 was completed successfully at the Kalshi point in Dhaka. In an orderly and respectful manner, winter clothing and blankets were distributed to 150 people.

This phase reflected strong coordination and discipline from the Dhaka distribution team. Their dedication ensured that every beneficiary was served with care and dignity. We extend our sincere gratitude to all members whose continuous support, prayers, and commitment made this phase a success.

With this strong start, the journey of Hugs of Hope 3.0 began with hope and confidence.

🌾 Phase 2: Rajshahi Distribution

Following the completion of the Dhaka phase, the project moved to Duari Mor, Darusha, Rajshahi, where winter conditions were particularly severe.

Despite an early morning train journey and a long working day, our team distributed 150 winter clothing items and 50 blankets, reaching 200 people in need. The experience was deeply moving, as fatigue disappeared in the face of gratitude and visible impact.

This phase was carried out with close collaboration between board members and local Founders members in Rajshahi. Their thoughtful planning and strong coordination ensured smooth execution.

We express our heartfelt thanks to Md Asiq Mohammed and Tamim Asif Chowdhury for their outstanding contributions, and to every member who worked tirelessly to make this phase meaningful and impactful.

🤍 Phase 3: Kurigram Distribution

One of the most challenging and inspiring chapters of Hugs of Hope 3.0 took place in Kurigram, where families living in remote river char areas were reached.

This mission involved over 10 hours of travel, including long road journeys, boat crossings, and extensive walking across seasonal river islands. Despite difficult terrain and limited accessibility, winter clothes and blankets were delivered hand-to-hand, directly to families in need.

The Kurigram distribution was led by Local Vice President Saiful Rahman, in collaboration with Local Strategic Planning Commissioner NJ Nahray Jannat, with continuous guidance and encouragement from 2026 Local President Afshana Rahman.

The dedication of our on-ground team, along with the support of local volunteers, made this demanding mission possible. Their resilience and teamwork embodied the true spirit of service.
