JCI Dhaka Founders recently hosted their second International Retreat and General Members’ Meeting (GMM) in Malaysia. More than 45 entrepreneurs and business leaders from Bangladesh took part in the event, which was held in the city of Penang starting on April 25. The retreat featured insightful leadership discussions, cultural exchange, and valuable international networking opportunities. The delegation also participated in the 2025 JCI Malaysia Area North Convention—one of the most successful international participations by a local JCI chapter from Bangladesh.
JCI Dhaka Founders is a chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI), a global organization of active citizens aged 18–40, committed to creating positive change in society. What sets JCI Dhaka Founders apart is that all of its members are entrepreneurs who work together to uplift one another and their communities through leadership, innovation, and social impact.
This wasn’t the first time the chapter hosted its GMM abroad. In 2024, the organization, which now has over 65 members, organized its first international retreat in Pokhara, Nepal. That event marked a historic milestone as the first-ever overseas GMM by any JCI chapter from Bangladesh.
The 2025 Local President of JCI Dhaka Founders, S.M. Mehedi Hasan; JCI Bangladesh National Vice President Nahid Hasan; along with most board members and general members, were present at the event.
