About Fight the Bite
Fight the Bite was a dengue awareness initiative conducted near the Kalshi slum area in Dhaka.
Through a workshop at Pushpokoli School, 150 students learned about dengue prevention, mosquito control, and the importance of keeping their surroundings clean. Each student also received a Dengue Defense Kit with essential mosquito protection supplies.

Why It Matters
Dengue prevention begins with awareness and everyday action.
By educating young students and involving them directly in community activities, Fight the Bite helped turn dengue prevention into a shared responsibility beyond the classroom.

Under the Leadership of M Asif Rahman
In 2023, under the leadership of Founding Local President M Asif Rahman, JCI Dhaka Founders joined 30 other JCI Bangladesh local organizations in the Fight the Bite initiative.
The project engaged 150 students through dengue awareness training, distributed prevention kits, and mobilized young volunteers to promote cleaner and safer communities.
