About Hugs of Hope
Hugs of Hope is JCI Dhaka Founders’ flagship winter relief initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable communities during the cold winter months. Since its launch in 2024, it has grown into one of the chapter’s most impactful humanitarian projects, helping spread warmth, compassion, and hope across the country.
Every year, members, donors, and volunteers join forces to distribute winter clothing, blankets, and essential supplies to underprivileged individuals. The initiative has expanded its reach, bringing warmth to the most remote areas of Bangladesh, showing how small efforts can create massive impact.

Under the Leadership of Afshana Rahman
In 2026, JCI Dhaka Founders, under the leadership of Local President Afshana Rahman, expanded the impact of Hugs of Hope to new heights. The flagship winter relief initiative distributed winter clothing and blankets to 1,000+ individuals across three districts: Dhaka (150), Rajshahi (200), and Kurigram (700). The project raised BDT 214,500, and with Afshana’s leadership, the initiative became the largest yet, reaching more vulnerable communities than ever before.

Under the Leadership of S M Mehedi Hasan
In 2025, JCI Dhaka Founders, under the leadership of Local President S M Mehedi Hasan, expanded the impact of Hugs of Hope to new heights. The flagship winter relief initiative distributed winter blankets and clothing to 1000+ individuals across Rangpur, Dinajpur, Kurigram, and Panchagarh, raising BDT 150,000 in funds. With S M Mehedi Hasan’s leadership, the initiative became the largest yet, reaching more vulnerable communities than ever before.

Under the Leadership of Nahid Hasan
In 2024, under the leadership of Founding President Nahid Hasan, JCI Dhaka Founders launched the first edition of Hugs of Hope. This initiative laid the foundation for what would become a flagship humanitarian project, successfully distributing 500 clothing items across Barisal and Tetulia, Panchagarh, and setting the stage for greater impact in the years ahead.
